Presenters at School Wide Events

TRAINING MANUAL LINKS – WHOWHATWHENWHEREWHYHOW?

“Hi, my name is Antonio Ramirez! Good morning to you all! One thing we learned about healthy food is that some vegetables or fruits help at least one part of your body . . .”

That’s how Antonio began a presentation in front of a packed cafeteria at Swansea Elementary, where parents were learning about healthy nutrition.  With the guidance of KGNU/Eat Your Radio instructor,  Ellen Mahoney, 5th grade  students shared what health eating means to each of them.

Students can do live presentations at many school events, and doing it as part of Eat Your Radio can be memorable event.  To do this, students should first have permission from their teachers and the principal.  Then they should practice, practice, practice.  And then, it can be fun and exciting to really do it!
